QUOTE Of course, none of these pics remotely suggests that Lahore is now the most polluted city in Pakistan, which would put it in reckoning for the world's most polluted city! Pakistan has gone from a population of 50 Mn at partition to 170+ Mn and counting today. Are they doing things to make it green? I know Delhi was horrible, one would ride bike in white shirt and get off with grey if not black. Pollution was taking its toll. One good thing they did was to start Metro line and switch over to CNG. It feels lot better than what it used to be. Do you guys have tube / Metro in Lahore too? Pakistan is the country which has the most CNG driven vehicles. And now there is a new Metro Bus system (CNG), although presently covering a smaller part of the city. ============================== For me, listening to Mohammad Rafi is an addiction! |
