Friends,
At the recent Saraswati Puja get together, I heard someone sing an absolutely beautiful Ragaprodhan song that goes something like "Srabono Meghomaaya Chaayilo Gagane" (I am not 100% sure about the lyrics). The song was based in Gaud Malhar with shades of Kedar interspersed and the melodic structure had similarities to two Hindi Songs : "Garjat Barsat Bheejat Aayilo" from Barsaat ki Raat by Lataji and "Chaand Akela Jaaye Sakhi Re" from Alaap by Yesudas. If anyone can provide more information (lyrics, info about the original recording, uploads), I'd be much obliged. I don't know the name of the album Bibhas...May be it is from Ritu Malika. I have this song in my collection...and here I am uploading for you..

I recently heard of another Raagprodhan song in Raag Bhatiyaar, "Ekon Shokaal" by Jatilesh Mukhopadhyay. If anyone has this, kindly upload it. Actually I think there are lot of songs based on this raaga which I like most. E.g. Eki Apurba Prem - Manna Dey, Jaago Jago Priyo - Akhilbandhu Ghosh etc. Here I am uploading another song of Jatileswar Mukherjee which I like also..
