As per a record I saw Geeta Dutt first sang a song for the movie Bhakt Prahlad in 1946.
The last released movie with her song was Jwala in 1972. Can somebody please upload the songs from these two movies? Thanks in advance. Regards Hildebrand This post has been edited by hildebrand: May 16 2008, 01:19 AM Best Regards

I am not able to find the wordings of the first song Geeta ji sang for the film "Bhakt Pralhad".
The song from Jwala is a trio with Lata ji and Sudha Malhotra ji "Haule haule ek bhi na ghungroo bole". There is another song which was released in 1983. The name of the film was "Film hi film". It was made out of some un-completed/un-released films. The song was a trio with Rafi sahab and Suman ji "Hum khoob jaanate hain kya dil mein hain tumhare" Parag Please visit www.geetadutt.com

Here is a piece of information from the internet on songs sung by Geeta ji in 1971
Quote : In 1971, Geeta Dutt sang "O BONDHU SHONO" and "ANJAN DIYECHHI CHOKHEY" (MD = Swapan Jagmohan). These were published amongst the Puja songs of HMV. The songs became popular enough for HMV planned to record her songs for 1972 Puja also. The date of recording was fixed for 13/7/72. She had to cancel the recording because she did not feel well and died exactly a week later on 20/7/72. Can any one share the 2 Bengali songs "O bondhu shono" and "Anjan diyechhi chokhey" ? Thanks in advance Best Regards Parag Please visit www.geetadutt.com

Yes, I agree that any of those 4 songs could be the first song and it is almost impossible now to figure out which one was recorded first. In case some one can come up with the record numbers for all the 4 songs (I know I am asking too much.. ) then we can at least say which one was the first released song.
