More of West coast
Bay Bridge. What you see in the back is an island named Treasure Island. This bridge connects two cities - San Francisco and Oakland and passes through Treasure island in between. This bridge has two levels - lover level traffic goes towards Oakland, upper level takes you back to SF. Golden Gate Bridge Tower Golden Gate Bridge with cargo ship passing under it. (picture taken from the south end of the bridge) GG bridge from north side, as seen from vista point. In the background you see the downtown of San Francisco. A little island near the left edge of the photo is Alcatraz. This is what the bridge looks like from North end. Back in the late 90s they had this slice of Redwood tree near the north end of the bridge. Now it does not exist. Photo taken Aug 26, 1997. Lincoln Park Golf Course near Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. California Palace of the Legion of Honor at San Francisco Coit Tower, San Francisco A sailor in San Francisco bay at dusk. |

QUOTE(Chitralekha @ Dec 6 2004, 10:26 PM) San Gregorio beach on Hwy 1 between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Torrey Pines Glider Port in San Diego, CA. Half Moon Bay, CA. Pigeon point light house on Hwy 1. Windmills in Livermore, CA. Nice photos, thanks. I have posted some photos of Grand Canyon in that respective thread as well quite a few photos of western europe in it's thread & some in the Salzburg post. There are so many of them, quite a few in panoramic view. "The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it."
