New Delhi, June 22: Former Pakistan cricket captain Javed Miandad may find it difficult to get a visa for another visit to India after it became public that his son would marry the daughter of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, the prime accused in the 1993 bomb blasts in Mumbai.

Miandad has been a regular visitor to India in recent years to work as an expert commentator on cricket matches for TV channels.

External affairs ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters Wednesday that "no request for a visa has been received" from the cricketer.

Miandad's son Junaid is set to marry Mahrooq, the daughter of Dawood Ibrahim in Karachi, with a reception to follow in Dubai.

Though it was agreed that officially declaring Miandad persona non grata would provoke a response from Pakistan, officials have apparently decided that any request for a visa from him in the future would be politely turned down.
