And heart-string tugging lyrics by Prem Dhawan. I have seen many an Asian unable to contain their tears especially after the last stanza: 'chhod kar teri zameen.....'.

And Salil-da's use of the rabaab and Manna-da's quivering voice in the antaras is almost magical.

An immortal song.
