Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. - Albert Schweitzer Without music life would be a mistake - Friedrich Nietzsche Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson Music is spiritual. I had an audio cassette of Pandit Ji, playing Hamsadhwani, its Durt always reminds me Lata-Manna De duet 'Ja tose nahi bolon kanahya (Parivar - 1956). Inaam, Sorry I didn't see this until now. "Ja Tose Nahin" is based on a traditional bandish in Hamsadhwani " Laagi Lagan Sakhi Pati Sang" which itself is in turn based on the carnatic krithi "Vaatapi Ganapatim Bhajeham". No one plays Laagi Lagan better than Hariji does. I am uploading one such instance from a concert in Pune at Osho center. In addition to a delightful Hansadhwani by Hariji, this features a wonderful tabla support by Zakir bhai and the sawal-jawaab sessions are simpy out of this world. The recroding is so good that it puts you right in the front row, you will not even feel you're listening to a recording. In 5 parts below. Bibhas p.s. Kaise ho bhai? bahut dinon se baat nahin hui aap se. A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Friends,
I am looking for Hariji's long Bihag from "Classical Encounters Vol 2". Would someone kindly post if you have it? Bibhas A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.
