A friend mentioned about "Yeh Shaam Mastani", a program aired on Sony TV recently that was a tribute show to RDB. The original show was held live in Hyderabad. Singers included S.P.Balasubrahmanyam and Sudesh Bhonsle who apparently did an excellent job of singing "Ek Chatur Naar" and "Kuch Na Kaho".
Did anyone happen to record the show ? Bibhas A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Wow Bibhas......that was an excellent show......Three Gems I would like to mention from the concert.....are :-
1. Ek Chatur Naar (SPB and Sudhesh Bhosle) 2. Sapna Mera Tooth Gaya (Toooooooooooo good rendition by S.P.Shailaja and her brother SPB.....I really cried on seeing Shailaja render it so wonderfully.... Truly professional stuff..and excellent voice modulations....and in the end of the song.....SPB hugged and kissed his sister....as a mark of appreciation from an elder brother....a very emotional moment.... ) 3. Raina Beeti Jaaye (Chitra did a decent job with this great gem from RDB) Well, I haven't recorded this concert......but it has already appeared atleast 4-5 times on Sony..(Repeat telecasts)......Lets see if someone has recorded it....or else maybe, Sony may give yet another opportunity to do so, by telecasting it again!!! Love Music....... LOVE GK

Bibhas, if you really are such a big SPB fan, you might like to check out my uploads on the 'Beautiful Kannada Songs' thread. Absolutely lovely SPB numbers. Doesn't matter if the language is different.

Mandrake, I did listen to some of the Kannada numbers you posted and guess what, the rudimentary kannada I larnt during my bangalore days came in handy while listening to these. I wanted to to request some SPB songs in that thread but I only remember the tune of the songs I heard long ago and have no idea what the lines are and the rest of the details to help identify the song Bibhas A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

If no one recorded this show, no worries...it was only the 4th or 5th time Sony has aired this show. There's another one hosted by Ashaji on Pancham that keeps repeating every once in a while. Great show and I watch it everytime it airs, so I am certainly not complaining!!

Pranav Pranav, Some people like me who live outside India are not lucky enough to be able to watch Sony TV even they telecast it a hundred times. If you can record it the next time they telecast it, please please do.
