Looking like nobody has it. Technology wasn't around to this extent in the mid-1980's, only hope if somebody has it on tape. Sad.
Was by Guru Kishore Kumar himself I believe (or perhaps Amit Kumar). I had found this photograph on some website. Who's the actor is in the third picture from the left, the others are clear enough. Cheers Attached image(s)

I think the third picture is of Satish Shah-he had an active role in the sitcom

Yes it must be Satish Shah, though he looked quite different. Perhaps this may have been from one of his villanous appearances (he used to have a different role in every episode as I recall).

I remember around 15 yrs back video libraries used to carry them. As far as I recollect, there were 6 volumes. Hope they release it on DVD sometime. YEH JO HAI ZINDAGI - This was quite definitely one of the best serials produced for TV in India - right uptil now. I remember how we used to look forward to seeing this - and wondering what would be Satish Shah's role in the next episode (he had a completely different role in each episode - and he was such a fantastic hit with everyone). Shafi Inamdar and Swaroop Sampat made such a fabulous and loveable pair - comedy at its natural best.
Now for the good news ! I have the title song on audio cassette i think ( have to search ) - but most definitely I do have it on video tape ( this may be better quality, i think ) So, give me some time to dig it out and then digitise it - then I will make it available for all of you to enjoy this little songlet in Kishore Kumar's voice Sri "Jis din is duniya se nafrat aur khudgarzi mit jaayegi, us roz yeh insaan naachega, us roz yeh dharti gaayegi" - Rajinder Krishan (Maa baap 1959)
