I think K-A also deserved to be nominated for their albums in the sixties. Films like Jab Jab Phool Khile, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Aamne Samne, Safar, Maryada etc. all had excellent music worthy of nominations.

Not absolutely sure but I think they were nominated for Saraswatichandra in 1968, arguably their best musical score, but the "legendry award winning abilities" of Shankar Jaikishan saw Brahmachari walking away with the award.

Once again, I am not absolutely sure but I am surprised to see Diwana in the nomination list for 1968. This movie was released in 1966 / 1967. Logically Diwana should be competing with Milan in 1967, the ultimate winner. HFGK also lists Diwana in 1967.
