Yes. I was lucky to meet Mubarak Begumsaheba in mumbai. she is also a grt8 playback singer and really a very good human being. But she also told me that shamshed begumji came before she came to the playback singing in the industry.

I am so happy to know you met Mubarak Begum. Hope she's doing fine. Mubarak ji started singing probably with Aiye in 1949. Shamshad ji had of course started singing in 30s itself in Lahore and was senior to her.

I am so happy to know you met Mubarak Begum. Hope she's doing fine. Mubarak ji started singing probably with Aiye in 1949. Shamshad ji had of course started singing in 30s itself in Lahore and was senior to her.

Obivous that while Mubarak begumji speaking with me she adored Shamshed begumji as a senior most singer. She is one of the senior most member in the Film Industry before Lata, Asha, Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore, Mannadey and others became legends. I feel there is no such photos of Shamshed Begumji with other playback singers with anybody.

Perhaps. I think there is one of hers with Rafi sahab lying somewhere on HF I don't remember which thread. It was taken during a concert in 1967.

No, I was mistaken. Its with Naushad sahab and two persons of the orchestra.
