TAMIL SONGS PROGRAM on HF RADIO

Folks,

Here is the upload of the Opening Music played for the Tamil Songs program on HF Radio some days ago.

As usual, this is a quiz excl.gif . Download and listen to the 99 sec mp3 track and guess where it came from. excl.gif

Since the original recording had to be done with an external mike .....some parts are not as clear as they should have been...sorry about that - but overall sound is not bad.

Answers/ Guesses may be sent to me via PM - more than one answer/ guess is allowed - but you have to rank your answers, if you have more than one ...1st choice, 2nd choice etc. Results will be announced during the repeat broadcast - to be scheduled soon.

Even those who are new to Tamil songs may try their hand at this.....after all, an intelligent guess can sometimes be close to the mark too !!

The obvious clue...for those who know Tamil songs and who actually heard the program on HF Radio from the start.......this track is somewhat related to the first song of the program....though it is not essential to know that ! Those who didn't hear the program are not at a disadvantage - let me assure you. More clues will be provided, as deemed necessary !! So, go ahead.....guess away...!!

Will try to schedule the repeat of the program soon...still juggling with dates for this and the Naushad program repeat !

I saw your PM......of course, you have 'partially' answered the question....you got the part which i indicated in the clue...the easier part.....but you still have to get the more important part of the quiz....the source / details of this particular piece of recording which was used as the opening music of the program ??????

Nimii and Vivek (visuja) have both identified the song this piece is related to (i had also given a clue that this piece is linked to the first song of the program).......but the question here in the quiz is to identify
what this piece is and where it came from...so put on your thinking caps and find out...or else roll out your intelligent guesses, at least.......all of you !! smile.gif

I have received only one 'intelligent' guess so far......from Vivek.

Will add one more clue...after i receive some more responses.
