But this will add date, time, size etc information also in file which you may not want. For linux, it becomes more simpler. ls -1 > output_file This will give only filenames. I assume you hv only mp3s inside ut folder HTH ~ @ |

You can make a list in WINAMP too.
Winamp creates a HTML file output. This is how you do it: Click on View in Winamp Application, which opens up the Play List Editor. In the play list editor click "ADD" button at the bottom and select the folder of your MP3 files. Click "MISC" then select "Misc" again and click on 'Generate HTML Playlist'. HOLA!! there you go it generates a HTML file for you with appropriate headings. Attached image(s) _______________________________________________________________________________

Rename the text file to filename.xls. Open the file using Excel and delete unwanted coulmns. If you just want to print the filenames there is a direct command File -> Print Sandeep Sandeep

Thanks Guru. This software doesn't do a tag list, to my knowledge. Would apppreciate if anyone could point to freeware that does a tag-list along with a filename list.

With I-tunes, you can simply copy paste all the info for each file (including tags) into an excel spreadsheet.
