His voice modulation and control are amazing, given the fact that he was not trained traditionally in Carnatic music.

He has recorded a staggering over 40000 songs in his illustrious career that has spanned over 40 years. Each of them is special in its own way.

He has recorded for all leading MDs like RDBurman, Laxmikant pyarelal, Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, Anand Milind, A.R.Rehman, Ram Laxman, Bappi Lahiri, Ilaiyaraaja, Nadeem Shravan, O.P.Nayyar, Naushad, Nikhil Vinay, Rajesh Roshan, Ravindra Jain & M.M.Kreem.

He has recorded approx 500 songs in Hindi for Films, Private Albums, Concerts & Serials.

He is the only singer to record 40000 songs.
