An opinion was offered in this forum that Sachin's contribution did not result in a win for the team. biggrin.gif

Note the percentages for Ponting and Inzamam.

And those of Bradman and Sobers!

It proves that batsmen like Sachin comes ones in a life time. Unni ji most of the cricketing fraternity acknolwedge the undisputed greatness of Sachin. The ones that dont cant read or are simply jealous.

well statisctics like they say tell u only half the truth or half the story.

there are people who have seen matches live and would like to comment otherwise.

he has changed -wish u could split this statisctics into two parts

the first 8 years and the following years

and u will say "yeh dil maange more" or "yeh dil maange no more"

But it would be unrealistic to demand what he deliverd in the first 8 years for ever.
I think even today he commands a legitmate place in the line up and remains a threat for the oppostion.
