Very nice Preety, makes me want to visit Lucknow. You are multi talented aren't you?
Did you realize the picture frames are illusionary. In one view the photos appear as if raised off a white background, in another like they're in a white frame!! You must be the change you want to see in the world - Mahatma Gandhi |

Zaira these imambaras are the special features of Lucknow build by the nawabs you will not find imambaras like that anywhere else... there are around 10 such buildings in Lucknow itself....

Wonderful pictures. Thanks a ton. Mera intezaar karna. Main agli gaadi se aa rahi hoon!!! Just have to see this place now. I love old historical sites. U are right--the frames make loading a little slow. I did not get to see the last 3 pics as my browser gave up by then. Hoping when I post this reply it will load them. yes Priya the IT college is still very much there my sis also studied there i will u/l the pix soon for you abhi developing karaane ke liye diya hai sorry for the frame
here are some more pics an example of the lucknow's craftmanship my sisters foot for the comparison of the size the parivartan chowk. Mayavati ji ka creation this is against the law because this is surrounded from all the sides by historical monuments and a hot spot for accidents... ask me thats one of my favourite monument sadly neglected by the ppl and government the Satkhanda- seven storey monument though only 4 were made before the nawab died... if this was completed it could have been one of the wonders of the world instead of the qutab minar. made on the same pattern as Qutab minar but on a larger scale finally the Vidhan Sabha... had to get the permission to click the photograph and was sure i wont get it during the festive season so this one was taken from a bike my sis was driving and i took the pic thank god the police men didnt see us well am still not sure if this was good or bad... what if it were terrorists "When beauty talks, nobody notices what grammar it uses"

Thanks for the pics Pret!!!!
Why are those shoes so tiny? And why has Mayavati created an ugly new structure in the midst of the old buildings? U are lucky to come from a place with such a wonderful heritage and history. |
