This one is from Neend - I guess this is sometime in the 1940's - Another one from Ghaalib - One from Nooran - Thank you so much for the extremely rare book and pics! I think the 1940s Noor Jehan Ji pic is from either Duhai (1943) or Dost (1944). I have another pic from Duhai (1943) of NJ Ji (who played second lead) as well as heroine and another very great singing star Shanta Ate Ji (probably from magazine/journal - perhaps of famous criticist Baburao Patel Ji). I can upload if someone wants The book also proves that Noor Jehan Ji was also one of the mots favourites of great composer Rafique Ghaznavi Ji. Looking forward to fully reading the book. Thanks a lot! Vidur |

Hi
Going over older posts on this thread made me feel a little nostalgic. Seeing older posts from some of the people we will never see or hear from again (Priya, for one. She died in a car accident). Then there are others who have mostly lost interest. This website had many people with diverse views and talents who had a certain pioneering spirit. We were dealing with a relatively new phenomenon of reliving our memories from times past. It's kind of strange to feel nostalgic about the place, and the people this place brought together, whose raison d'etre was also nostalagia.Harjinder This post has been edited by Harjinder: Jun 18 2011, 08:04 AM |
