Sonu in his 'airport interview' at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport has said he might not be able to catch the cricketing action between the two nations. This he says is due to his obligations toward the pakistani public as a singer. Here is an earlier clipping ...
Obviously right now GEO TV isn't going to show the concert LIVE on TV. Probably after a while they'll make the concert available on their programming. Whenever they do, hope to catch Sonu's tribute to the legends. Now, if only he could sing something by the Great Amaanat Ali Khan. My guess is they'll only be concentrating on filmi singers. zindagi ne kar diya, jab bhi udaas aa gaye ghabra ke hum, manzil ke paas sar jhukaaya, sar jhuka kar ro diye |

GeoTV was reporting that the concert was a huge success. And then after a few hours, this ...
ARY Digital TV is reporting a bomb explosion near concert venue. A stolen car, fitted with an explosive device of some kind, rammed into two parked cars 1.5 kilometers away from the venue, in the parking area. One passenger in the parked cars was instantly killed. Three people close to the site, were hurt. One of them died after being taken to the hospital. zindagi ne kar diya, jab bhi udaas aa gaye ghabra ke hum, manzil ke paas sar jhukaaya, sar jhuka kar ro diye |

Was lucky to rent this concert recently from a video library.... he made the entry on the stage with the famous qawali (dont know why its called qawali ? ) .....Tumse Milke Dilka along with Sabri brothers..... Unfortunately the video went bad after first 30 mins of viewing ......

The concert wasn't really that enjoyable. There was no real tribute to the legends. Agam Kumar Nigam sung some oldies which were appreciated, initially. The concert focused more on the new and hit Sonu songs, which I don't really like that much ... "Kiska Hae Yeh Tumko Intizaar, Main Hoon Na", so what dude, I don't care if you are there, I don't swing that way. Believe me, you aren't missing out on much. I would say, it was the addition of the Pakistani Qawwal Party that put a special touch to the Tumse Milke song and that was probably the best of the concert, the finale. zindagi ne kar diya, jab bhi udaas aa gaye ghabra ke hum, manzil ke paas sar jhukaaya, sar jhuka kar ro diye |

Sonu is now an established singer. He has to sing his own songs in concerts. But since the show was in tribute to the legends, he should have sung old numbers. ... Par usne kyon nahin gaaya? gale mein kich kich.. vicks ki goli lo... khich khich door karo?

Yaar I guess maybe because as extenok said it was due to that tribute thing to legend , etc.... Because when he was here in usa last time with Jaspinder Narula..... he had given a great show..... infact he use to pull poeple from audience and make then dance on stage.... bijuriya re bijuriya........ I am pretty sure even today he is a great crowd puller.... dil dhak dhak karta hai... tujhpe hi marta hai......

Yea I attended his show here in bay area a couple of yrs back. We all were dancing in front of the stage. He looked really good cuz of those expensive costumes that he wore. He also sang some nice songs. Agam Kumar also sang oldies as extenok mentioned. His songs were better than Sonu's I thought. Although his "kuch tum socho kuch hum soche" was sung nicely. Everyone enjoyed that one. There was this other classical oldie he sang and then made transition onto "rabba mere rabba" song. Both songs sounded so similar. It was cool!
