Unless you feel a track is particularly bad, and you happen to have a better copy, no need to go through all this rigmarole.

No need to run it by me. Suggestions/uploads are most welcome.

We'll leave it to members to decide if they want to add any upload to their collection.

That's easy to answer: I wouldn't know the source of each and every song.

In fact, in some instances I rejected the recordings I'd copied from original CDs, since HF uploads or my cleaned version of the audio-tape recording sounded better.

As for song-length, it should be no problem to mention it.

I've made it a point to delete the blank sections before/after the song, because that's where hiss/disturbances are most noticeable.

That's the point na... QUALITY music. Many of these songs would have made the rounds before, the effort is now directed towards homing down on the best possible version of the creme de la creme of Lata. Isn't that something worth giving a little thought to??
