Johnny Walker was a popular bollywood actor who was born as Badruddin Jamaluddin Kazi on 15th May, 1923 at Srinagar, Kashmir. Johnny Walker is the screen name of this talented movie comedian. He is son of a mill worker who moved with his family to Bombay (Mumbai) after the mill was closed. He had fifteen members in his family and five family members died young. Johnny was married to Noor who was the sister of actress Shakila. He had three daughters named Kausar, Tasneem and Firdaus and three sons named Nazim, Kazim and Nasir. He tried his hand at different occupations, including the job of a conductor in Bombay Electric Supply and Transport (B.E.S.T) buses.
Hit songs of Johnny Walker are listed below:

Badruddin was posted mainly at Dadar bus depot but he has worked on several other routes. He always used to entertain passengers with some antics who got in his bus. Once the legendary actor and script-writer Balraj Sahni notied him while he was once traveling in a B.E.S.T. bus on which Badruddin was working as a conductor. At that time Balraj Sahni was writing the the script for the movie, Baazi in 1951. Badruddin was twenty seven years of age when made debut in the movie Baazi. Balraj introduced him to Guru Dutt for the role of comedian. Badruddin acted as a drunkard in screen test and Guru Dutt gave him the screen name of Johnny Walker. He was casted in a leading role later in the movie Johnny Walker in 1957 which was named after himself.
His freindship with Guru Dutt became more intense and he often changed scripts of his movies to accommodate a role for Johnny. He has starred in many successful movies such as C.I.D. (1956), Pyaasa (1957), Naya Daur (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), blockbuster movie Mughal-E-Azam (1960), Chaudhvin Ka Chand (1960), Anand (1970), Shaan (1980) and Chachi 420 (1998). The untimely death of Guru Dutt in 1964 deeply impacted him. He had a few small roles in the movies during 1970s to 1990s. His last performance was in Chachi 420 directed by Kamal Hassan in 1998. He always kept himself a low profile even at the peak of his career. He has won Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in Madhumati and Filmfare Best Comedian Award for his role in Shikar.
