Hi,
I want this very rare song/ghazal from K.L.Saigal O Gori Ghoongat mein sharmaey Anchal dhalta jaey haia se simti simti jaey This song was re-played on Pakistan Televion in late 80s or early 90s but by sure song is from pre-partition era. This songs seems to be a stage performance by K.L.Saigal koz in the song played on PTV, K.L.Saigal is singing on stage with harmonium. Thanx in advance |

This song does not figure in any known Saigal discography / filmography. You can refer to this at my website at www.kundanlalsaigal.com If indeed this is a saigal song and somebody does have & shares with us it will be a new discovery of a Saigal song. Does any music lover / video store known to have the video or recording of TV telecast of Saigal films Karwan-e-Hayat 1935, Dhartimata 1938 & Bhakt Surdas 1942 since 4 of the missing Hindi film songs are from these classics The missing songs are : 1. Ab Kaise Chhupaavun Main Dil Ki Baat (Kaarwaan-e-Hayaat_1935) 2. Manvaa Krisha Naam Ratt Gaa (Bhakta Soordaas_1942) 3. Prabhu, Mohe Bulaa Lo Gaaon Mein (Dhartimaataa_1938) 4. Shehron Mein Wo Baat Kahaan (Kaarwaa-e-Hayaat_1935) The other 11 missing ones are Bengali songs All the missing 15 songs are on the soundtracks of those movies and for which no records (78rpm) were issued. This song is not sung by K.L. Saigal but rather sung by Pakistani singer M.Kaleeem in 1978. A preview can be listen at following link http://www.emusic.com/album/M-Kaleem-M-Kal...d/11080988.html |

I and lots of other people are looking for these movies: Dhartimata, karvan-e-Hyat and yahidi ki larki. In fact Karvan-e-hyat was picturized near Bahawalpur (Cholistan) across Rajhistan desert and my uncle saw the shooting.
