Moving from the North-east.... to down south..... Kerala. Yesudas, a very gifted singer, and one of the most leading singer from the Malayalam & Tamil film industry, became the voice of 'simpleton' heroes like Amol Palekar, Prem Kishen & Arun Govil, later went on to sing some memorable numbers for established superstars like Amitabh Bachhan. Brought into the Hindi Film Industry by Salil Chowdhury, who had worked with him in Malayalam before, Yesudas rendered many hits in Hindi under Ravindra Jain and many other music directors.
