Only thing is I now have 3 versions, one by Asha/Bhupinder, one by Asha/Usha Mangeshkar
and then a third in 2 female voices that I cannot place. One sounds like Anuradha Paudwal.
Can you tell how many versions of this song there are and who they are sung by?

then t-series sang this song over not original from this film i belive it was song by anuradha i don,t remember if there were 2 voices but if it is then the singer is bela sulahe or kavita paudwal

Bash bhai kya baat hai ! what shd I say abt you.......your favs list is verstile and very much like me

I too regard Rafi as best singer and Kishore da among TOP talent in industry...a compelte genius. !

Like you , I too have some nostalgic angle regarding my Fav singers - Shabir, AMit kumar, Anwar,etc.

Shabbir was at his peak when I was small kid , I got lot of memories related to his songs...top most being BETAAB, pyar jhukta nahin etc. and Iam also a HUGE fan of Amit kumar , how can I foget his songs from 80s and early 90s.

Udit narayan is my fav singer he is singer of my fav movies - QSQT , JJWS !. (again bit senti angle related to my choice !)

Shabbirkumarji, I am really a terrific fan of Amit Kumar but its me who say that Amit Kumar really spoiled his talent... Its really a pity, such a gem is completely forgotten by the whole bollywood!!! And Amit helped bollywood to forget his talent!! He kept on doing his stage shows, thats all.

If you have any questions just ask there. As far as cassette player, the older Aiwa's (mid to late 90s) are my favorite. I think any older Technics/Panasonic decks would be great too. Cassette rippers on the web prefer the high end Onkyo Integra TA-2056 which I have as well, but that unit basically serves as a forwarding/rewinding deck for me, as the Aiwa comes out clearer and crisper. The soundcard that came with my PC is a Realtek and has HD Audio, 5.1 sound.The 3 things you mentioned are important, sound card, software, cass player, but so are the cables, even though many choose not to believe it. Also listening to it on headphones is a must to see how it's coming out. . . Baaqi depends on the source - the condition and quality of the OST (original soundtrack). Software, I use an older program inside Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum called Spin Doctor, part of Soundstream, current Nero programs have a tape to CD wizard, many recommend Audition and Soundforge as well.

When you made your post you may or not have noticed that under the box you typed in there was a post options section, and beneath that a file attachments section with a "browse" button and an" add this attachment" button. To upload, you need to compress the file to .zip or .rar using winzip or winrar and then browse to the file, and click the "add this attachment" button. You can find more info about it size and bitrate restrictions, etc here:

Acha ek baat batao . I got BPL Sterio system. 200+ watt( dont laugh ok :-( ). got onboard sound card Ac97,(2.1), all cables and will your software also.. Do you think I will be able to get the same Quality of sound like your songs??

Let me tell u guys what I did to convert almost all my cassettes to mp3.

First of all, I totally agree with Deewaniji.. AIWA has has no comparison. I have recorded many things on my AIWA cassette player it has always given me crispy clear sound.... I remember when I recorded Amit Kumar's Harmony show just by keeping the record player in front of my BPL FHR TV speakers.. The recording was awesome....

When I decided to convert my cassettes, I could not find a good AIWA player.. So my second choise was Panasonic but unfortunately I cud not get hold of a the music player (I was not expecting a BIG system, but the traditional GOOD quality player).. I found one fantastic SONY player which was very much traditional and made exclusively for cassettes... It had a Bass and Treble control buttons as well.. I was too happy to hear the sound quality of that player.. Then bought a verrry good sound cable and an external good quality sound card (Disabled the on-board which is generally an ordinary sound card)...... Initially when I tested the recording using Musicmatch software which came with my iPod, i did not get good results; the sound was too loud and crackled a lot ... I tested it in different ways.... Finally I found out that if I control the sound of my tape recorder, I can record the exact recording that I had in my cassettes... If you guys notice, there is always a HISS sound while playing cassettes. I did not even remove that HISS. All my cassettes recordings are having that HISS but still I wanted them to be as it is... One can reduce the treble and reduced the hiss or use software to clean the HISS.. But I am happy with as it is at the moment..

I have come across many sound quality versions of the attached song, but I never felt like throwing away my cassette rip of this song.. Just see how crisp clear it is... I also have CD quality of this song...

So enjoy the cassette Rip at 160 bit rate for 6.29 min... Amitda, tusi gr888 ho papey!!!

Me too .. The singers match perfectly with the actors and their characters i.e. Mohd Aziz for Anil Kapoor's character Lakhan , Amit Kumar for the bad guy and Alisha for the other woman who secretly loves Lakhan.
I wonder if music directors Laxmi Pyare selected singers based on the characters and the scene sequence, since they arranged songs and selected singers so well all the time. Thoughts/Comments?

the only reason why AMIT KUMAR sang for the villian was because his expression is truly amazing!
just like his father he acts the song out doing full justice & believe me that isnt easy!

AMIT KUMAR cud quite easily have sung the MOHD. AZIZ part but...
cud MOHD. AZIZ sang the AMIT KUMAR villian part as good with the right expression & feeling?

something to think about?

i speak to PYARELALji on a regular basis his such a humble & great human being, he tells me AMIT KUMAR is extremely versatile & a very very special gifted singer who can do anything if he puts his mind to it!
just like the rest of us he too feels that sadly... AMIT KUMAR has totally wasted his talents!

hey guys i never saw pyar karke dekho in original t-series cd but i will say it was on a pakistani cd that i use to have and the sound quality is amazing, for example i never found mohabbat ke dushman from indian company but i have it on musicworld label mihabbat ke dushman/khuda gawah and it says original cd recording and sounds like cd recording, heres another example tum mere ho on tips label has a bad recording but the one i got tum mere ho/swarg from pakistan was so cleaned that i couldn,t believe it.

I think Pakistani Cds are sourced from Vynl and recorded in CD Just like double apple version of many hindi tapes. I have recording of Jeeva from pakistani CD source and I do agree the sound is amazing.

^^^ Agreed, esp those Sonic ones (except when they add jhankhar), but otherwise, so many a good song has been found on them. (BTW, Shazaad, Mohabbat Ke Dushman was released with Imaandaar on CD EMI/RPG/SaReGaMa. I also have one song on a CD, Sangeet, Hits of Bappi Lahiri vol 2 T-Series, but have never seen full sdtrk on CD.
