Hello,

Some years ago I had come across an casette of Ashaji wherein she had sung some songs which were originally sung by Noor Jahan. I forgot the name of the album. Some of the songs were wonderful and some sounded even better than the original !! Can anybody upload the songs of this album?

Pradeepji U are late!!! We had uled all these ghazals a long time back on this forum--must be removed now.

If someone has these songs at cd quality do ul them. I think one or two are not available and only i had them as online recordings. sad1.gif
The album was Kashish and a beautiful album it was.
The songs are
Aandhi chali to
Dil hi dil mein
Dil ki duniya mein koi
Gul khile chand raat
Jab yeh jaan-e-hazeen
Kabhi kaha na kisise
Kisi ka naam lo
Kyun choda tumne saath
Neeyat-e-shauqh
Some of these luckily were rereleased as cd on the Diva album--but the rest are not available. If no one comes up with cd rips will do the needlful.

Since no one else has come forward I will start uling the songs--have the foll from cd so will ul those first:
Aandhi chali to
Dil hi dil mein
Gul khile chand raat
Jab yeh jaan-e-hazeen
Neeyat-e-shauqh

I have the remaining tracks only as online recordings so let me know if U want those.

Aandhi chali to..... very deceptive number--sounds so simple when Noor Jehan and Asha sing it but quite tough really to attempt.

Good news Pradeepji--I had this cass as a kid and had retrieved it recently and converted the songs but was disappinted at the results as the tape was going bad. But I just listened to the cass reocrdings and some of the songs that were bad are the ones I now have on cd. Only 2 songs dil ki duniya mein koi and kyun choda tumne saath are at low volume and increasing the vol seems to make them noisy--anyway better than the online recordings.
Here is the last one from the cd:
Neeyat-e-shauqh bhar na jaaye kahin..
Tu bhi dil se utar na jaaye kahin...
Many may have this one as it is on the Asha Legends set too.

I have Dil Ki Duniya Mein and Kyon Chhoda Tumne Saath on CD (I have the full Kashish Album) I will try and upload tonight.

As per post in 'Geet Gaya Pathronne' I am experiencing difficulties uploading and downloading since installing Norton Antivirus. If no luck I will take a copy of the songs to work with me and upload from there !!
