Sajdah, many thanks indeed! I am just listening to this song. I am indeed proud to be from Iqbal Quereshi's city-Hyderabad ! Venkat And the interesting thing about this wonderfully talented composer is that he was more famous for his golden voice and singing. Popular rumour had it that his voice was so much in demand in music circles that it finally let him down - he grew hoarse. The hoarse part was indeed true. Pity i can't u/l the songs in his voice - it's all on cassette. SAJDAH "I live for those who love me, For those who know me true; For the heaven so blue above me, And the good that I can do." |

Sri sahab - the song was credited to HF ( Please see the post ! ) to which you too are a part of, i believe.
No offence was meant ! I would have preferred to add the link myself. Next time i'll take care to do that. And it's not my nature to take credit where i don't deserve either ! "I live for those who love me, For those who know me true; For the heaven so blue above me, And the good that I can do." |

Next time i'll take care to do that. And it's not my nature to take credit where i don't deserve either ! oops !! Sajdah !! i didn't see your post here abt the same song, earlier !! Just saw it now after reading you post addressed to me. actually, as soon as i saw venkat's request for 'aaj mausam ki masti mein'...i immediately posted the link since i had just uploaded the same song coincidentally a few days ago - didn't think of checking if someone had re-uploaded it here. (now i find that your upload was the next post itself !!) no probs !! it's not about taking credit at all .....after all we haven't sung the song or composed it ...then, what's there for you or me to take credit for ?? the whole idea is to help each other find good songs...which is exactly what you have also done. ....so, no need to apologise etc. i can understand .....with so many songs being uploaded and downloaded, it is difficult to keep track of which thread one has downloaded a song from ...and so it may be difficult to provide the link..and may be easier to upload it again. and sorry, if my post offended you, inadvertently, in any way. I never intended anything other than what i wrote (no hidden agendas etc. !!) . If i had seen your post, I would not have written at all - esp since i would have made out from the file name that it is the same file ! ...and what a nice song , this one is - i just love its melody, tempo and the way it's been sung. Sri Indeed, Sri sahab that's what happened. I confess i forgot which thread had this song - and i was short of time to search it out. It was a lapse on my part ( even if you forgive me ) because you do deserve all the credit for uploading this rare gem in such perfect sound quality. And yes, i agree that this song has the power to cheer up even a person with supposedly incurable melancholia. Hi Sharad,
Extremely grateful for releasing this gem to the public. I am sure that ,as at the time of your uploading, you must have been one of just two or three people in the world to be possessing this! I had complimented your collection earlier too! Yeah, I do agree that the best parts in the song are 1) the opening lines of Suman and 2) Mere tere Dam Se.........., especially where they say Zindagani thrice! Also,Yeh Kahani, Yeh Nishani thrice! When I hear this song I can immediately go back to my secondary school days. Thanks again. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!
