This post is to say thanks for the help with lyrics. I have attached two more qawwalis, not to ask for their lyrics, just as a thank you. I would like to ask for the names of any good song lyric collections to buy. A friend is returning to Punajb for a couple of months and I want to ask her to get me some of the lyric books I've heard of, in devanagari. Any recommendations?

People are willing to help on esoteric songs but you need to start the ball rolling by making a first step. |

As I said, I wasn't looking for the lyrics on the two I uploaded, I just wanted to share. Thanks for the links anyway. I have had the gitaayan site bookmarked for a couple of years now, in a folder of bookmarks for filmi lyric sites, and almost always look there first. There are, though, several films that do not have all their song lyrics there. That is one reason why I'm after recommendations for books of lyrics such as I've heard are available in India itself. I don't know any but there has been discussion in hamaraforums, look in the lyricist section. However, The books are most likely in indian languages not english. There are also poetry books by the big Lyricists which have english transliterations sometime. I know if you look for Sahir. There was a russian who had translated or wrote a book.
