If today's kids are not good enough for you, too bad.. Besides, Rafi, Lata and Asha were/are not Bengali artistes. Self - belief is the most potent force.

QUOTE Sorry Humble Rafi ji, you are really missing out on some really lovely numbers. If today's kids are not good enough for you, too bad.. Besides, Rafi, Lata and Asha were/are not Bengali artistes. Mandrake bro i know the new kids do delivery luvly numbers but they lack that charisma of our legends.they r not persistent in their work.they lack variation.its not easy to produce sumthing original.sorry its my opinion. i can raised few questions if u wanna. 1st u like these days music only for few days or months,u dun wanna listen them after some years.the charisma of our legends is not like this. i would luv to listen GULMOHOR RE PHOOL JHOORE JAYE AAMAR PUJAR PHOOL SAATH BHAI CHOMPA JAGO RE JAGO RE even after 20yr from now with same zeal as i used to listen 20 yrs back, there is no doubt abt this.but can u listen these kids music like this? 2nd these kids r known for one hit artists then they r gone with the wind u said RAFI SAHAB,LATA and ASHA r not bengali artist though i know what u want to point out but i never allow discrimination when i talk abt ART. if u consider a person as bengali artist only if he/she borns in bengali family or in bengal then ur concept of classification is doubtful. e.g our KISHORE DA was born in M.P not in BENGAL our JAGJIT SINGH does't belong to MUSLIM family (ppl believe GAZAL is a sole property of MUSLIM which is absolutely wrong ) so many URDU writer r non muslims (e.g MUNSHI PREM CHANER he used to write in URDU in his earlier days) ART knows no boudaries. i believe ppl listen RAFI SAHAB's,LATA's and ASHA's bengla songs more then they listen to an authentic bengla artist. though RAFI SAHAB sang limited numbers of bengla songs. my uncle told me that when RAFI SAHAB started singing in bengla he became a threaten to our so called authentic bengla artists. I NEVER HEARD AN ANGEL SINGING,YES I HEARD MOHAMMED RAFI SAHAB.
I LOVE THEE RAFI SAHAB Saanson Ki Maala Pay, Simron Main Pi Ka Naam......Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab |
