veena sapru,if she was wife of actor sapru and mother of punjabi film actress preeti sapru...
well i recently watched pakeezah and razia sultana..she was grt..
she was given some fine lines in both films...i loved the way she called ashok kumar..shahabudin..aao apni abrooiyat ka tamasha dekho(something like this)

and in razia sultana,when her son slapped her..she replied main tumhari gunhegar hoon ke maine aisi aulad ko janam diya(i cant recall the dialogue,but she was grt)...

Veena's personality and voice went together. Both showed royal bearings. The flawless urdu diction of hers was again something very pleasing to hear. I remember her role of a strict elder sister of Raj Kapoor in DASTAAN, (Rafi's song: YEH SAAWAN AUR HUM AUR TUM) which brings ruin to the family.

way back in mid 90s,i was watching sanyasi..chand usmani was in that film..and i thought its meena kumari..(i felt why meena kumari did such a small role)

much later i got to know the diffrence between both..
i liked her in parvarish and dharamveer..

now i want to know abt urmila bhatt..she was killed by underworld...dunno why

I have seen Chand usmani in Baap re baap which incidentally had some wonderful music......
and in a more mature role in Khilona.......
