While most of us are avid listeners of ICM, I suspect several of us are avid learners too. Veenatai had released an album called santhaa aimed at teaching the basics of singing alap, a bandish in taal and how to improvise within it. The album teaches the popular Yaman bandish Yeri Aali Piya Bina in teentaal. There are also tanpura and tabla tracks included for practice. A nice one for learners.

A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.
