can't help but agree with your views on Naushad Sahab
he was also one of those greats who had identified the great talent of Rafi Sahab very early....... so we do owe him a completely dedicated forum
his songs, especially from Dulari, Baiju Bawra, Mother India, et al are still so fresh that we can just marvel at his mastery over the art of creating music
also that the opposition that he faced from his parents in his pursuing of music saw him leaving his house for the love of music, a step that only a very daring person couldhave taken......
Rafi Sahab was known to have a special liking for his compositions, a case in point is O' Duniya ke Rakhwale, which Rafi Sahab sang in virtually every live concert of his.......
we still see the maestro, sometimes on some music show or some rare interview; but what belies his age are his ever enduring passion for music and dislike for remixes and the distasteful new trends in music of today.
God Bless such a rare soul who has enriched the music industry with so much in variety and quality

I was in the august presence of Naushad Saab a couple of years ago. He was being felicitated by Kalakar Awards in Kolkata. What a towering presence in so frail a man. Someone whose feet even Dilip Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar touch. What a personality he must be.
