'aye dil kahaan teri manzil' from 'maya'. 95% of the song is sung by Dwijen Mukherjee. The story goes that one lead violin player was missing on the day of the recording. Salil-babu's genius took over and he had Lata-bai (who was present there) to substitute for the high pitched violin movements). The end result is so stunning that one is left with open jaws.
Lata-bai's effort can give an inferiority complex to a professional soprano. Regards-Archie. |
