I had felt the same way until I saw the movie myself on widescreen during the last long holiday weekend. Believe me friends! The lastest Bond and the movie is awesome! I hated Daniel Craig before watching this movie, but he brings a grittier, darker image to 007 and he is fantastic. This novel Casino Royale is more like a 'prequel' to all Bond movies and so much 'live' than 'gadgets and dumb babes'. So, all you naysayers, go see the latest 007 incarnation and you'll see what I mean.
Having said that Sean Connery will always be THE James Bond for me! LOL laugh.gif

i watched it. its ok. but i prefer Sean Connery as Bond. i loved his Bond movies. smile.gif

and then it has to be Pierce Brosnan. in Bond girls, i liked Halle Berry. smile1.gif

i just got back from watching casino royale

i quite liked it ! as melissa said it was grittier...n ...i think..more believable..than the last few bonds. no absurd n unbelievable chase scenes...no hi fi gadgetry...no flippant sex/sexual connotations.

yes yes...we associate bond with the super slick n super far fetched....we associate him with this super suave metrosexual know all. craig was obviously a departure from all that we had begun expecting from bond. n i think that worked for me. he had just the right bull in a china shop demeanor to convince me that sleeping with the enemy...or their wimmen...isnt the only way the world can be rescued tongue1.gif

but dang ! connery n brosnan have aged so damn well !!!!

I liked CasinoRoyale......I think Daniel Craig with his virile magnetic looks is the best Bond since Sean connery...he is charismatic and the on screen chemistry between Bond ( Daniel Craig) and Vesper lynd ( Eva Greene) wub.gif is amazing...........All in all ......definitely worth watching... biggrin.gif

I am a big fan of EVA GREEN.She looks vey thin in this movie as if she didn't eat well during the movie.I just like her accent and beautiful smile.When i saw the movie THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN i started liking her and when i saw THE DREAMERS i started like her more ever since.

I like SEAN CONNERY and PIERCE BROSNAN as 007 licensed to kill.
