Reeth,

i am glad that you started this thread. smile1.gif

Brando was one of the best performers in Hollywood.
with Godfather, he proved that age hardly mattered to him when he wanted to steal the show.
Jack Nicholson was his neighbour and dear friend till his last breath and took great care of him when he was suffering in last days.

Jack is another great actor. perhaps the best imho. smile.gif
i am looking forward to your post about him. smile1.gif

Pity that GODFATHER was banned in India for twelve long years. Firoz Khan came up with a desi version in DHARMATMA in early seventies. As regards THE LAST TANGO IN PARIS I don't think it was released in India intact.

Yes, Dharmatma was of course good. I liked it.
Regarding the Last Tango...this was a movie of pure carnal relationship between the lead actors. Defnitely, it couldn't pass the Censor Board. But having seen it on the video, I think it was a boring movie - as one critic exclaimed: Even with the butter it was a boring movie.

Great pictures of the Sex Goddess. She was definitely a stuff for male fantasy.
Unfortunately, I think I missed all her movies that time being underage. How I wished there was VCR or DVDs then.

Unfortunately Nasir, she was self destructive and by all accounts naive....quite incapable of handling her huge success and all else that came with it....She was the dumb blonde stereotype in real life too, which led to her personal problems and the final tragedy...her unnatural death.

For me, one of the greatest actors i have ever seen from the yester years is Paul NewMan for his diversified roles, the ease and panache with which he wud carry out his role was fabulous.
Some of his movies like Cool Handluke, The String,The Hustler were a treat to watch.
From the recent periods, i love Tom Hanks. He has really represented the diversity of an actor who can take up any challenging role and carry out in an emotional manner which lefts an indelible expression on one's mind.
Some of his worth watching movies are Philadelphia, Cast Away, The Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Sleepless in Seattle.
