QUOTE dive through the hoards of vcds dumped one over the other That is the main problem, i wish they would stack those properly. They stack it properly. It is us the customers who have no etiquette in putting back the discs from where they have been taken out from. I have seen how people just dump where they feel like. It can be so harrowing for the next customer to locate anything. |

Another problem is VCD comes in thin sleeve, and its hard to read what’s even written on it if you do not see the cover - Just another gummy bear fan

They do not place it sidewards like dvds, but reclined against the shelves. Many a times I try to put back the misplaced vcds in their alphabetical order. All that samaritan act I know will go waste once the next customer goes through them. |

Yes, CDs and DVDs are easy to read and scan while they remain stacked, not VCDs. I wonder if they will quit making VCDs since Blue ray is fast picking up

Look at the way Moser Baer is releasing vcds for just 20 + bucks on wards? People don't even realize that the audio quality is being compromised to put movies in those low priced discs. |

Mpeg encoding is mpeg encoding. The only drawback I can think of with CD media is durability. You can't say mpeg type 1 encoding is best on CD of type A and not on type B This post has been edited by Marcilo: Mar 9 2009, 07:51 PM - Just another gummy bear fan

There are lot of errors in the disc too! I remember getting the Laakon ki baat vcd (Priya Company) and the moment I put the disc in my system, the executable video player was caught as a VIRUS! I managed to take the dat files out of the mpeg folder and copied it on my hard disk, so that I can chuck the vcd for good!
