My unfamiliarity with the language causes me to recollect only the tunes, and not the actual words .... else I too would have had a loong request list !

Turns out I have heard "Kuthi Shodhishi" and "Tuj Sagun Mhanu Ki" earlier and could remember the tunes instantly !!! Thanks for reminding them (and uploading them of course !)

My pleasure, Dhananjay ! (though I suspect you would be 10 years elder to me !).

Being from Mumbai, Marathi has a special place for me. I remember watching a host of Marathi serials on TV in the pre-cable TV era just to pick up the language.... earleist memories being that of "ChimaNrao" by Dileep Prabhavalkar (?!). In fact, I've always enjoyed listening to conversations in Marathi (not that I understand much.. I try !) and of course, the songs, bhajans, abhangs, etc. Only two occasions when I didnt like Marathi were when I have had to speak in Marathi and when I have had to write exams in school !

Hmmm...that brings back sweet memories. I somehow remember the Hindi version of ChimaNarao better. It had a nice title track "Hans lo tumhe hansaane aaye, aaye ChimaNarao !!"

As I will be away for a week or so, I won't be able to download and listen to the songs or upload any songs of my collection.

I found that the following song file in KCP's big archive (Sudhor Phadke part 2)was corrupted.

Instead of my having to download the whole file again, would you upload this song again?

Does anybody have the songs from "VahiNichya baangaDya", the
original Marathi version of "Bhabhi ki chuDiyaN"?
I have heard that the songs are the same as the Hindi one, but
the songs were by Asha. Is that so???
I have not been able to find the record/cassette/CD of this film.

Unfortunately I don't and have not found it on the net either (I looked a while back).
I know the songs in the Hindi version of the film. It has the ethereal "Jyoti kalash
chhalke" and "Lau lagaati geet gaati". Then there are other Asha and Lata songs in
the film as well.
