Shukno Lanka to see a national release Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 10:09 [IST]


Kolkata: Director Gaurav Pandey is very excited as his movie Shukno Lanka will be releasing nationally on July 2. It is quite rare for a Bengali movie to get a national release these days. The movie will have English subtitles for the national audience. The director claims it to be a cross-cultural film for which a major chunk of shooting has been done in Berlin and the rest in Kolkata.


Buzz up!The movie will see veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty play a struggling actor. In a recent interview the National Award winning actor said “"My role in Shukno Lanka is very challenging. It has given me the rare opportunity to retrace my struggling days." The movie will also star Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Debashree Roy and Saheb. It will be produced by Mumbai Mantra.
