Friends/ Comrades/ Fellow Members - Help me get a beautiful song by Yesudas and Hemlata - "Tista nadi si tu chanchala, mein bhi bachpan se hoon manchala".

I have it but it is not of very good quality. I am not sure if it is from any movie.

Was this associated with DD serial "Lohit Kinare" or Bhupen was the one do did that?

Thanks a lot Wart. That song surely brought back memories !! I think, the composer was Ravindra Jain (just a wild guess, looking at singers ). But a better copy is always welcome

Hey Marcilo,
Yes, "Lohit Kinare" was composed by Bhupen Hazarika. Also, it was a solo unlike "teesta nadi". I wonder if you know that Teesta and Lohit are the names of two different rivers, flowing through the North-east of India (OK enough of my Geography lecture )

Yes, I know these are associated with Rivers. Lohit kinare too had a theme song.

I am wondering where "tista nadi se tu chanchala" was used. Yes, tista is name of a river and that is what Yesudas compares her to.. and then says... mai bhi hu bachpan se manchala

Dhananjay - I like your reasoning behind guessing Ravindra Jain's name. There is another good Yesudas duet from movie Jadu Tona called Sanvari Saloni Jamuna Ka Jeevan. Its one of those effervescent numbers which are so reminiscent of songs which are based on river. I had upload some days back on this forum (under Yesudas), you may like that one too.
