What it's about: The official remake of South director Mani Ratnam's Tamil hit Alai Payuthe. A story of a couple who get married against their parents' wishes and find that married life is not exactly roses all the way. The film reminds you of Basu Chatterjee's films of the 1980s.

Price per territory: Rs 1. crore. Yashraj Films released the film in Mumbai, Delhi-UP, Rajasthan and overseas territories.

Trade Verdict: Average. Vivek Oberoi proves he can do romantic roles and carry a solo-hero film on his shoulders. His market value has now shot up. Rani Mukherjee turns in another good performance. A.R.Rehman's music is of course, a big plus point. The film's repeat value has brought in audiences in the metros, especially in Mumbai and Delhi.
