From here, frankly, I do not have a liking for HFM, be it Rafi Saab's songs or others' songs! Strictly a personal view. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

In fact, there are three keys to this!
![]() 1. Knowing the song well by having it or even otherwise 2. More important, liking that song very much 2. Most important, a very good musical ear. For example, out of the 11 clips uploaded so far (other than my own two), I do not have any song with me except "Main Ne Chand Aur Sitaron". But, I knew/replied 7 out of these 11, because I know and like very much six and I have, know and like very much one. As for the other four, I do not only not have them, but out of these four, I do not know one and do not much like three, though I know them! Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Venkat...You, subir and other members are really gifted..that you can identify the MD by their traits..the instruments they favour..etc. Personally my heart / brain recognizes the songs which i like..love ..and listened to.
![]() That you were able to identify those songs which havent heard is just terrific..a different class altogether. ![]() This post has been edited by simplefable: Jun 22 2008, 08:08 AM After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Much like your own Kajal, Phool Bane Angaare, Baradari and Chandrakanta ones! The musical bit, to be special, has got to have a character! There are plenty of preludes/interludes otherwise which are life-less and dull-as-dust!
