My debut post on the Lata forum, and there is no better way to start then to showcase the musical nuggets that LATA, LAXMIKANT & PYARELAL have produced together.

Lata has rendered nearly 700 songs for LP, and in this thread you will experience the vast range of songs from Love to Sad, Bidai to Judai, Cabaret to Lori etc.

I'm starting with some rare solo's first, which I have collected over the last 18 years. Please feel free to add your favourites of this trio too.

I do not know about the above song, EP version are double sided vinyls usually with only four songs and are about 3 mins long. The above song maybe from Boxer but I dont have it.

There is a interesting story about this song, after Laxmi-Pyare composed this tune they didn't have the courage to ask Lata-ji to render this song. The reason behind this was that tune was very difficult to sing to, it was composed in dedh teka ( 1 n half beats) rhythm. These songs are the most difficult to sing , and you must be a higly skilled & trained singer to to do justice.

It took LP (Laxmikant actually)a whole month after the tune was composed to ask Lata to attend the rehearsals & recording. They were in the fear that Lata-ji would think that LP were testing her singing range. ,LP had done many songs with Lata but they still had a lot of respect for, the were worried that they would be doing some kind of gustakhi asking Lata to sing to this difficult tune.

Listen to this song, they dont make them like this anymore.....pure gem
