A perpetual favourite from among Geeta-ji's renditions, from "AAR PAAR", picturized on Shakila with Guru Dutt also on-screen.

An abiding classic, not only of HFM but of Bollywood films also. The lyrics of Sahir Ludhianvi, the music of S. D. Burman, the voice of Geeta Dutt, picturized on Waheeda Rehman by Guru Dutt, who also features in this scene from 'PYAASA".
As a prelude, this song sequence from the 1957 movie also features the lines "Phir Na Keejey Meri Gustaakh Nigaahi Ka Gila, Dekhiyey Aap Ne Phir Pyar Se Dekha Mujhko" in the voice of Geeta-ji --- not found in the audio issues of the song "Jaaney Kya Tooney Kahi" --- lines later immortalized in the voices of Mukesh-ji and Asha-ji in the 1958 movie "PHIR SUBAH HOGI".
