14 Favourite Saigal Songs, Kundan Lal Saigal's best

I have a fair few other singles as well. Reply to this post if there is any request and I'll upload if I have it. The songs are all very good quality (CD). Of these, only 170 are available for listening, the remaining 15 (4 hindi, 11 bengali) being lyrics only from the films production booklet, as opposed to actual audio recordings. There are no estimates of unknown songs but it could be a very large number. He certainly sang more than 2 Punjabi songs. He must've sung some songs in early films but there is no trace of the song or film e.g. Rajrani Meera, Dulari Bibi, Daku Mansoor etc. He composed several non-film songs based on Ragas e.g. Jhulana Jhulao. There is scant record of them as well. Thanks for your information and interest. nandi In my opinion, he was the greatest male singer of HFM. No other singer, apart from Saigal, could emote like Rafi. None had the vocal range of Manna Dey except Saigal. And no ones pronunciation was as perfect as Talat's, again except Saigal. Rafi claimed his song Mere Sapnon Ki Rani was his finest moment because he got an opportunity to sing with his idol. According to Anil Biswas, Mukesh could've been a great singer if he would stop trying to imitate Saigal. Lata reputedly hears Saigal every day. I think that kind of magic comes only once in a century...by the way, I have nearly all his available hindi songs filmi and non. Please let me know if you need any.
