Yesterday , I saw Mughal-e-Azam - the coloured version - AGAIN
![]() And it was simply super 8/10 I wish they had included ALL the songs, though "Shikwa nahin kisise, kisise gila nahin,
Naseeb mein nahin tha jo - humko mila nahin.." ![]() |

![]() The Bigamist (1953) The tale of a how the main character became a bigamist! A childless couple (Harry and Eve) applies for adoption of a child. The adoption agent is suspicious about the husband Harry. The investigation leads him to the truth of Harry's bigamy and thus begins a tale of discovery on how he became a bigamist. Rating; 3.0/5.0 Not bad. Is a quick watch. Manages to keep engrossed inspite of the seemingly semi-cliched theme. Perhaps due to the lady director Ida Lupino (who also acts as the Other Woman Phyllis) managing to show her women's perspective of the goings on. Also, inspite of being so old, it shows themes like working women giving preference to career among other things. A must watch for a cool weekend. It is interesting to note that the screenwriter Collier Young was married to the actress Joan Fontaine (who plays Eve) at the time and his ex-wife was the "other woman" Phyllis (Ida Lupino herself). ![]() This post has been edited by hildebrand: Jun 27 2010, 07:26 PM Best Regards
