Dear friends,
Can someone clarify the above query of mine? I have raised this query because I have some evidence of it, but still am not 100% sure!!! ![]() Venkat This post has been edited by venkat: Jul 1 2009, 08:02 PM I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Dear friends, Can someone clarify the above query of mine? I have raised this query because I have some evidence of it, but still am not 100% sure!!! ![]() Venkat ![]() Ahmed Rushdi sahab had his own famous style of singing.Rushdi sahab never copied Rafi sahab at any stage.Ahmed Rushdi's songs and singing style is being copied by many Indian singers.I have a lot of respect for Mohammad Rafi and Ahmed Rushdi and I expect same out of others. When Ahmed Rushdi sahab started his singing career in 1950,at that time Rafi sahab himself was singing in KL Sehgal's style. This is a stupid elegation that Rushdi copied Rafi. You listen his first song"Bander road se Kemari"(1954) to his last song "Ban ke Misra ghazal ka"(1983),no similarities will be there between Rafi sahab and Rushdi sahab.Any resebmlence is a coinsidence.Just listen to this famous song Rushdi sahab sang in 1966.Thanks Versatile Ahmed Rushdi Sings for Great Waheed Murad |
