Starting a new thread on what other famous celebrities have to say about shankar Jaikishan !
Frds SJ's music might be very popular but their "own names" are hardly known outside music circles or beyond genuine music fans.Media too continues to ignore SJ's contribution to Hindi film music and keeps on promoting selected few ! In this thread I will be posting famous comments made by celebrities and artists on Shankar jaikishan. These comments are enough proof to know the caliber of Shankar Jaikishan ! and their MAMMOTH contribution to Hindi film music ! People may ignore what a SJ fan says but they cant ignore what these legends have to say about SHANKAR JAIKISHAN ! Manna dey recently got Dada saheb phalke award. And in one of the interviews given to Hindu he again confirms how big SJ's contribution has been to his career.
Manna dey says : QUOTE Who is the best music director you have worked with? Shanker-Jaikishan, obviously. The duo, the most versatile in the nation, composed the maximum number of hits in the maximum number of films possible.
