Thank you all, friends, for your good inputs.
Actually, the context of my stumbling upon this song on youtube has also made me confused whether it is a Rafi song. When I found and heard this song, I did not have any information that it is even a Pakistani song. At the time of the impressionable first hearing, I thought it is 'definitely/obviously' a song from an Indian Hindi film. Add to that the youtube label of '1961', the black & white film , and more importantly the type/genre of the song of which I must have heard scores composed by OPN, S.Mohinder, GSK, etc. Then, who else would sing an Indian song of that type, at that time? I started wondering whether it was Rafi Saab!! Now that we are all sure that it is Rushdi, I wonder whether this Rushdi is not the nearest to Rafi Saab's style during the late fifties/early sixties!!! I know Anwar was also somewhat close to Rafi style. But, I feel Anwar and one or two others reminded you of Rafi Saab of the seventies, and not of late fifties/early sixties. To that extent, I am glad that I have come to know of this Ahmed Rushdi, of whom I have never heard before. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!
