Irene Papas...with the help of google . In my defense: I have not seen Zorba the Greek or Anne of the Thousand Days or Z or Electra. But I have seen Guns of Navarone. a long time ago.

And rather late in the day, Aditya and SF, you are right, it is Thora Birch. Has anyone here seen Ghost World? If you have not, I would recommend it.

Yes its Irene Papas. If you haven't seen The Message (she played the cruel Hinda) or Zorba the Greek, its understandable your not recognising her. Zorba is an excellent Anthony Quinn film by the way. I liked it so much, I bought the book, but have yet to read it.

Checking IMDB, Ghost World looks really good. Surprisingly I hadn't seen or heard of it before...
