Ah! Mine too! But then I have so many favorites Fred Mac Murray, who was habitually cast as the "good guy" gave a great performance as the morally ambiguous Walter Neff, the insurance agent, who is talked into an insurance fraud scheme that involves a murder, in this all time great noir, Double Indemnity. Wilder gave him another great role in The Apartment, sixteen years later, again a negative one, and Mac Murray once again shone in that role. Pity he did not often get meaty roles such as these.

There are some films and directors e.g. Lubitsch, that are widely admired but I just never warmed to them....but Day of the Jackal is considered a classic as obviously are Lubitsch films.

When Billy Wilder and William Wyler were coming out from Lubitsch's funeral, Wilder said, "No more Lubitsch" to which Wyler answered, "Worse, no more Lubitsch films".
