Shamshad Begum And Cukoo, The Seductive Combo Options

As oldtimers maybe aware Cukoo was probably the best dancer in the late 40s right into the 50s.
Shamshad Begum was the voice associated with Cukoo in the film industry. Cukoo had a husky voice which matched well with Shamshad Begum's voice. It is said that Raj Kapoor had to give Shamshad Begum the song Ek Do Teen in Awara because he had no other choice since the song was to be picturised on Cukoo! Apparently, the same thing happened with composer Sajjad Hussain He also had to use Shamshad's voice for Cuckoo in Saiyaan (1951). Cuckoo had husky voice and Shamshad voice suited her to T. I believe Cuckoo songs were sung by Shamshad in films like Amber, Anokhi Ada,Andaz, Awaara, Afsana, Paras, Hulchul, Saiyaan, Shabnam, Patanga and many others. Would love to know which songs were these and we can make list.

Anil Biswas didnt like her voice either when he said at that time we had singers like Amirbai and Shamshad! and today we have lots of talent. But even he had to compose songs for Shamshad when Cuckoo was onscreen. One example is Arzoo, where Shamshad sings a duet "Jao sidharo" or something like that. Mere piya gayey rangoon was picturized on Nigar Sultana.
