Anybody knows details of the singer Sabina Yashmin (seeing her name for the first time).

Anybody knows details of the singer Sabina Yashmin (seeing her name for the first time).

Sabina Yasmin is a very famous Bangladeshi singer, she is very popular in West bengal too. As I was listening to the songs, I realised that most of them have a bengali counterpart from the same movie, Anyay Abichar. I wonder if all the songs of Aar Paar got recycled in Anyay Abichar or vice versa.
'jaiyo naa jaiyo naa' : 'chhero naa chhero naa haath': Kishore and Sabina.
'kaun se nadiya' : rui kaatlaa ilish toe noy' : Kishore's version
'gali gali shor hai': 'dekhley kemon tumi khel': Kishore and chorus

I have only these three songs with me, but I am sure that KK and RDB collectors would have the others too if the counterparts exist. If anybody needs the Bengali songs that I mentioned, I will be happy to upload.

Thanks a lot for the info. I checked up IMDB which says that Anyay Abichar also released in 1985 and was also directed by Shakti Samanta. (It doesn't give any information about the actors though). My feeling is that he made both movies together. (I doubt if one is dubbed from the other but can't say cause I haven't seen any bengali movies other than Satyajit Ray movies. Maybe those who have seen the movie can tell us about the actors).
The song rui kaatla ilish also seems to indicate that here also hero is a fisherman. (In Aar Paar too hero Mithun is a fisherman).

As you maybe already knowing I have started that thread to upload almost all R.D. songs including 30 bengali movies. Since you have brought out the relation between both movies I have uploaded all the six songs of Anyay Abichar there. You can get the balance songs also now at this link:
